The Central Sanskrit University (CSU), New Delhi, has officially released the CSU Recruitment Notification 2025 on 20th November 2025. This latest notification announces 59 vacancies for Assistant Professor and College Librarian posts across 16 Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalayas/Shodh Sansthans located in various states of India. These recruitments are being carried out under the Central Scheme for Sanskrit Promotion of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• For Assistant Professor:
  • A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC (like SLET/SET).
  • OR: Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
• For College Librarian:
  • A Master’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.
  • A consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of libraries.
  • Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

Age Limit

• The age limit and relaxation will be applicable as per the Government of India/UGC norms. Generally, there is no upper age limit for applying to the post of Assistant Professor, but candidates should check the specific detailed notification for any institution-specific rules.
